There are many options in the month of December – Ashura, Yom Kippur, Feast of Saint Nicholas, Bodhi Day, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Hanukkah, Yule/Juul, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Then, that big day on December 31, when, at the stroke of midnight, the calendar switches over and we all begin an unblemished new year.
This year has been a year of ups and downs for many – losses of family, friends, fur babies, and jobs; weddings, divorces, moves to new homes and/or states, and starting new jobs. But through it all, we have one common goal – save the animals, get them to safety. And you have done an outstanding job of it!
The Mutt Mover’s moved over 650 dogs to safety this year! Keep in mind, behind the scenes, there is only me, Melanie, and the monitors. So the transport of that many dogs is done solely by YOU. I can’t say it enough – Without Your Wheels, My Transport Won’t Roll.
I want to take this moment to thank you all for a successful 2014 and hope that we aren’t necessarily needed as much in 2015. Because that would mean people are learning, caring, and acting in the best interests of their animals. It’s a wish I know we all share.
Thank you, Martha
