Another year is coming to a close. During this time, no matter what your celebration (Ashura, Yom Kippur, Feast of Saint Nicholas, Bodhi Day, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Hanukkah, Yule/Juul, Christmas, and Kwanzaa) I wish you all much joy, and hope this post finds you, and your family, safe and healthy.
This has been another outstanding year for us – although my wish is that someday, dog rescue transport is no longer needed, until then, we drive on. We lost a great monitor coordinator (Melanie is going for her Masters degree), but gained a wonderful new one (Barb stepped up from driving, to take over the task). We added several monitors to the list, easing the stress by allowing me to only coordinate, and not monitor as well. I cannot thank them enough.
But above all, our biggest asset, with the dogs moving from foster/shelter to rescue, week after week, one leg at a time, via them, is the drivers. The Mutt Movers transported over 540 dogs, 5 cats, and 2 pigs (yes, pigs) to safety this year! The transport of that many animals is done solely by YOU. I can’t say it enough – Without Your Wheels, My Transport Won’t Roll.
So I take this time to thank you all, for making Martha’s Mutt Movers such a success. My hope, as always, is that people will become more educated, responsible, and caring towards their animals. It’s a wish I know we all share.
Thank you, Martha
